The story of the Semilac brand is a compilation of good business decisions, bold moves and intuition which has not failed the brand’s founders.
It all started back in the 90s. Tomasz Gołębiewski, who ran a multi-brand cosmetic wholesaler back then, discovered that the market was missing a business concept that would respond to the needs of distributors while serving the interest of a manufacturer. At the same time, his wife – Sylwia Gołębiewska – a well-known nail stylist and an international Nail Art champion, created a place for meetings and development of all lovers of beautiful nails who were looking for the perfect product for professionals.
The experience of the two owners served as a foundation for creating the Staff Training and Development Centre. Over the years, it has transformed into the dynamic Semilac Academy which started the brand’s presence on the market (because the Academy’s needs inspired the owners to create the UV gel nail polishes which are so popular now).
Importantly, before Semilac products won the market, they were available under the Diamond Cosmetics name. However, along with the company’s dynamic expansion to global markets, the name was changed to Semilac. Today, nail polishes and nail art accessories by Semilac are available in 35 countries and are met with enormous enthusiasm.
